To engage your TikTok audience, employ creative tools such as Duets and Stitches, filters and effects, and the interactive Live broadcasting option. Furthermore, provide high-quality, consistent content, use popular and relevant hashtags and sounds, and interact with your audience to keep them interested in your content and foster a strong feeling of community.
Do you feel there’s more to TikTok than what we now know? We’re about to go over ten TikTok hidden features that will elevate your TikTok content and make your life as a TikTok maker much easier.
1. Create a Slideshow Without Using the TikTok Template
TikTok gives templates for creating a slideshow, but wouldn’t you rather design your own? Good news: you can! Here’s a basic TikTok hack for creating personalized slideshows.
- Begin by filming your intro, just as you would for any other TikTok video. When you’re finished with your introduction, navigate to Effects and select Green Screen.
- Find the image from your camera roll that you wish to use as your background, then tilt your phone so you are not visible on the screen.
- This will allow the image you choose to occupy the entire screen. You can film and distribute it alongside music or audio.
Repeat this process to build your slideshow by going back into the green screen effect, changing the image, and filming for another few seconds.
2. Save a TikTok to Your Phone Without the TikTok Logo
Want to share your TikTok material on other platforms but don’t want it to look like reused content?
Get that TikTok logo off of there. Before you submit your TikTok, start screen recording with your microphone turned off and sound turned up.Whether you’re a popular TikTok influencer or want to become one, the TikTok hacks and hidden features we’ve shared will help you improve your content significantly.
We recommend experimenting with the program and saving a lot of drafts.
To ensure that you have all of your videos, watch the preview with the screen recording several times.
Then close the preview and end the screen recording.
Now, access the screen recording in your camera roll and trim it to capture only the desired portion of your TikTok movie.
You now have an HD recording of your TikTok with audio and no visible logos.
You can now use the video on Instagram, Facebook, or whichever other social media platforms you use and it will look like native content.
3. Hide Your Liked TikTok Videos
By default, everyone who visits your TikTok profile can view the videos you’ve liked.
You can hide what you’ve liked on TikTok to protect your brand reputation while not limiting how you utilize the platform.
- To open your settings from the Me screen, hit the three vertical dots in the upper right corner.
- Tap Privacy and Safety and scroll down to Who can see your liked videos.
- If you select Only me, you will see an eye with a line across it in your Favorites menu.
4. Enable Restricted Mode
Is there a TikTok trend you don’t want to see anymore? Or are there any hashtags you would like to avoid on your For You page?

Enabling Restricted Mode allows you to hide uninteresting content from your feed, resulting in TikTok showing you less of that type of content.
To enable Restricted Mode, navigate to the Me screen, tap the three dots in the upper right corner to enter your settings, and then select Digital Wellbeing under General.
From there, you may enable Restricted Mode.
5. Add a TikTok to Your Favorites
As you scroll around TikTok, you’ll come across videos that you’d like to be able to simply return to.
To achieve this, simply tap and hold any video to bring up the menu we discussed previously.
Instead of tapping Not Interested, you will select Add to Favorites.
To find your favorites later, simply navigate to the Me screen and tap the bookmark icon next to the Edit Profile button.
This will take you to your favorites section, where you can find your favorite TikTok hashtags, sound effects, and videos.
6. Change TikTok Video Language
You can change the language of the material you see on TikTok to create a more personalized experience.
You may easily accomplish this by heading to your Me screen and tapping the three dots in the upper right corner to access your preferences. Once there, select the Content Preferences option.
Next, tap Add language to display a list of languages. You’ll start seeing TikToks on your For You page based on the chosen language, but you’re probably still going to see a few videos in other languages, too.
7. Create a TikTok Duet
If you’ve spent any time on TikTok, you’ve likely seen duets.
These are the videos with a split screen, where the original video appears to the right and the new film from the person creating the duet appears to the left, as shown:
You can make a duet with any video that supports duets. Simply select the video you wish to duet with and hit the share icon on the right side of the screen. Then tap Duet.
Tap the record button to record your own clip, which you can then modify with effects, filters, and other features. Then, post the TikTok as usual.
8. Create a TikTok Reaction
Reactions are similar to duets, although they seem slightly differently.
Tap the share button on the right side of the screen, just like when you were doing a duet. Instead of tapping Duet, tap React.
You will then record your video by using the record button, adding your effects, and sharing as usual.
The purpose of React is to capture your reaction to another user’s TikTok. While some creators script their reactions, it’s much more enjoyable to simply record an authentic reaction.
9. Create a GIF From a TikTok Video
If you haven’t yet started using GIF marketing, you’re missing out. People enjoy GIFs because they are quick and engaging while still delivering an emotional punch.
And now you have access to the entire TikTok platform.
To convert a TikTok video into a shareable GIF, select the video you want to convert and hit the share icon on the right.
Then, select Share as a GIF (scroll to the right to locate it).
Choose where to share the TikTok or save it directly to your device.
Note that GIFs made this method will be watermarked.
10. Translate a Comment
If you’re a TikTok influencer with a lot of views on your videos, you’re likely to receive a comment in a language you don’t speak or understand.
Fortunately, TikTok offers a translation function that will allow you to effortlessly translate such remarks.
Simply tap and hold the comment you want to translate to display a menu. From the menu, select Translate.
TikTok will translate the comment into the language you specified in the TikTok app.
Bottomline
Whether you’re a popular TikTok influencer or want to become one, the TikTok hacks and hidden features we’ve shared will help you improve your content significantly.
We recommend experimenting with the program and saving a lot of drafts.
