Maybe you play a sport. Write create a site about football. This could be advice, techniques, equipment, etc. Really there are endless ideas.

Overcoming the initial obstacle

There is however one obstacle that you have to overcome before you can become an affiliate marketer. Most companies have a policy of not permitting individuals below 18 years to sign up on their networks.

The simple way for a teenager to overcome this obstacle is to ask an older relation to register for him or her. This could be one of your parents, aunt or uncle.  Once they sign up as an affiliate, you will be responsible for doing the work to ensure that commissions come in.

Join forums

You can also promote your blog by joining forums.  When you become an active participant in online forums, you are allowed to have a signature. This is a line of text that appears below every post that you make on the forum. 

Some forums may allow you to use an affiliate link in this signature or you can simply put a link to your blog. If the forum has a lot of members, this will help you to get a lot of traffic to your blog.

Sell skills and services online

Another way for kids to make money online is to sell the skills that they possess. This is one of the easiest ways to generate online income but it is often overlooked by a lot of people.

There are a lot of repetitive task that have to be done by website owners. These routine, mundane tasks include forum posting, researching key words or setting up email accounts. Website owners have to continuously pay for these services. They are easy tasks that can be done easily by kids.

Walk or Pet Sit Dogs

Dog Owners treat their dogs like family members, and it’s very important to them that their dogs are getting the right amount of attention and care even if they are too busy to do it themselves.

To find clients you can sign-up through Care.com for a teen account (you will need a parent/guardian to vouch for you) or create flyers and spread them around your neighborhood to let your neighbors know you are available to work.

Start a YouTube Channel
