In Welcome to Bloxburg, your character can learn eight different skills, with two more on the way (programming and crafting). Athletics, cooking, gaming, gardening, intellect, music, painting, and writing are now available in the game. These abilities may not pay the bills (yet), but they allow your character to express themselves and learn new things. When you reach level 10 in a skill, you will also receive a cool trophy to show in your home.
Here is a guide on how to improve your skills in different areas in Welcome to Bloxburg.
Athletics
It’s time for your character to hit the gym! If you enjoy working out, you can improve your character’s athletic ability. Athletics will deplete your energy and hygiene moods, so take a break and shower afterward. This ability currently has no in-game advantage, but if your character’s roleplay past includes a love of fitness, go ahead and use it!
Athletics can be developed for free at the Bloxburg gym, or you can purchase equipment to construct your own home gym:
- For indoor exercise, you can buy a punching bag, a treadmill, and a weight-lifting bench.
- If you prefer to play outside, the wooden and metal swings both raise your athletics skill, as well as the wooden playset and the “Large Organic Tree With Swing.”
- There is a 3×3 patch of ice you can buy to go ice skating in your yard. The Bloxburg Gym will also get a skating rink during the Christmas and New Year’s event.
When you reach level 10 in athletics, you will win the athletics trophy, which resembles a dumbbell.
Cooking
Cooking is possibly the most useful skill in Welcome to Bloxburg because it allows you to prepare food that fills you up and allows you to learn a broad variety of recipes as your proficiency grows. All of your moods will drop faster if you are hungry, therefore cooking is essential! When you reach level 10 in the culinary talent, you will receive the cooking trophy, which resembles a milk bottle and a mixing bowl. To get started with cooking, you’ll need many items of kitchen equipment:
- A fridge, where you decide what you are going to make and buy the ingredients for your recipe. There are many different fridges in the game with different sizes and looks, but the best quality and reliability come from the commercial fridge, which costs $7000.
- A countertop will allow you to cut, mix, garnish, roll, form, and stir while you cook. Any countertop will work for this, as long as you have a surface to work on.
- To fry, deep fry, boil, bake, cook, or grill, you will need a stove. The best stoves are either the ProChef Stove, the ProChef Double Stove, or the Commercial Stove, which cost $4000, $6500, and $6000, respectively.
- A grill can also be used to fry, deep fry, or grill. Either the ProChef Barbecue Grill ($5000) or the Commercial Flat Grill ($6500) are best to use.
- A fryer can be used to fry or deep fry. To optimize your fries, use the Commercial Fryer that costs $3000.
To speed up your production, hit or click the button suggestions on the screen as you cook. Enjoy your supper once you’ve finished! Most cuisines contain multiple servings, so one cooking session can take a long time if you aren’t too hungry. Gaming
You can use the gaming talent to play a game while playing a game. It’s similar to Inception but with games! Gaming enhances your enjoyment while decreasing your hygiene and appetite. Take frequent stops to eat and shower.
You’ll need a computer or an arcade cabinet to improve your gaming skills. On the computer, you can play Phantom Forces (which is another Roblox game in real life), Bloxborne, or Ping Pong. ROTRIS, which appears to be based on TETRIS, is available on the arcade cabinet. Your ability will increase the same regardless of the machine you play on, however, some machines will increase your fun more than others.
The EPX Computer or the EPX-Ultra Computer, which cost $300 and $400 dollars, respectively, provide the best increase. The gaming trophy awarded at level 10 resembles a gaming controller.
Gardening
Gardening is a useful ability because it allows you to produce, harvest, and sell various plants. Gardening allows you to grow delicious foods that may be preserved in your fridge as well as attractive plants to enhance your yard, such as flowers and hedge sculptures.

To garden, you’ll need a planter or a pile of dirt the size of the plant you want to grow. You can water your plants using a watering can or by planting and activating sprinklers, and they will continue to grow as long as you are in the game. Your gardening skill improves as your plant matures, so make sure to water regularly or your plants may wither.
Fertilizer is an optional item that can help your plants grow faster; it can be purchased with Blockbux.
To quickly improve your gardening skills, plant a lot of short grass because it is affordable and matures quickly. The price of the plant you acquire has no effect on your skill growth, therefore it’s fine to stick with cheap plants. When you reach level 10 in gardening, you will receive the gardening trophy, which resembles a leaf.
