Spread the love

Body languages always make remarks about your personality, opinion, and truth on your behalf, subconsciously. It is unstoppable and continuous. It has both merits (for innocents) and demerits (for criminals).

An experienced prosecutor will use that card and try to get the verdict from the judge on his/ her side. So, try to calm your nerve down before the judge. Be properly dressed and humble as much as possible.

In this case, if you are pleaded guilty, for good behaviour, you will get advantages both in Court and jail. As it is presented by your subconscious, you have no control over it.

That is why you need to be informed about aggressive body language which may ruin your image in front of judge, prosecutor, and public-

Aggressive Body Language

Not only in the Court but also in your everyday life, you need to know what is counted as negative body language. You may not be aggressive in your verbal interactions. Sometimes, your untold anxiety and frustration can be seen vividly in your appearance, gesture, posture, way of talking or moving, facial expression etc.

So, beware before you lose control over your body language because it may hurt someone or make the judge angry at you. There are some examples on it, angrily pointing fingers, throat-cutting motion, throwing punch onto air or furniture, flashing clothes, sexual innuendos, snarling at witnesses, clenching teeth and fists, staring at a stretch etc.

Impacts of Aggressive Body Language in the Court

Not just in the courtroom, when it comes to negotiation or important meetings, harsh body language always put a bad impact on whatever outcome you are expecting. But our today’s concern is the punishment you may get if you put on a bad image regarding your body language.

  • Even if any of the aggressive body languages do not hurt anyone, unfortunately, it is the violation of the Court and honourable judges. The judges can charge against you for defamation, leave your case (which would be a pretty bad reputation for you), ask you to leave the courtroom, and keep up the trial in your absence.
  • But these are all for the exaggerated situations. If your body language annoys the judge, it will impact on your verdict. They may show no mercy on you. As a result, you may end up in jail for some extra days just for being an annoying criminal for a few seconds
  • Now, this one is serious- when there is no adequate and proper evidence of you being innocent or criminal, the prosecutors play with your psyche for one last time. They may ask questions that had been asked before. They may mentally torture you holding your weak points. If you give them a chance and yell at them or become nervous, anxious, and sweaty, your trial will not go as planned.
  • Now, what will happen if you threaten to hurt or kill someone standing in the Court? It is totally up to the judge what will happen. From giving the warning to push charges and make you go to jail- everything is possible if the judge thinks so. Overall, your current charge will stay on, and another addition will happen.

Unwritten rules show up at Court

We all know what intuitively hints a positive body language. But for your help, we are going to list four points to create a positive impact before opening your case-

  • Poker facial not too subtle on what is going on in your mind and yet not too blank.)
  • Controlled body movements: you may get angry at the wrong accusations, false witnesses, or worse wrong verdict. Out of frustration, you should not bang on anything or destroy public property. Be humble and patient at what people are saying to you. You will get a chance to stand for yourself.
  • A sober dress code: you do not need to stand on before the judge suited-booted. You need to choose a sober dress and colour according to your ethnicity and culture.
  • The pitch of your voice, intensity, volume, etc. are counted to classify your behaviour. So, no matter what you are going through, let your attorney handle the matter patiently.
  • Let the other people talk and keep silent when it is told. Do not engage with the heated conversion with the prosecutor; it annoys judges.
  • If controlling your anger becomes so cruel to you, once in a while, you can try it in front of the mirror.

Conclusion

When you are undercharge, try to put on the humblest gesture you can achieve. As they say, ‘Kill them with kindness. Just smile when it is needed, talk when it is permitted, humbly accept what your attorney said you to do. It is not that easy but not impossible. For your sake, control your aggressive body language.
